Kovalska to Launch a Gas Concrete Production Plant in Lviv Region in June

The industrial and construction group “Kovalska” has announced the launch of a new gas concrete production plant in June this year. The production facility will be located in Rozvadiv, in the Lviv region, and will specialize in the manufacture of blocks, panels, U-blocks, and reinforced products. The main markets for sales will be the western Ukrainian regions and neighboring countries.

The updated plant, compared to the one lost in Nova Kakhovka, which also produced gas concrete and is currently located in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region, will have two production lines with a 100% increased capacity. The planned production will be based on Aircrete Europe technology, which allows for the production of “light concrete” that provides up to 20% energy savings due to its modern insulation properties.

“Kovalska” signed an agreement with Invest International a year ago to obtain a loan of €27 million for the purchase of necessary equipment for the new production. The loan is secured by the Dutch fund Dutch Good Growth Fund.

This plant will be the first stage in the creation of an industrial hub for “Kovalska”, which also plans to open factories for the production of dry construction mixtures and concrete. The total investment in the project will amount to €100 million.
