Court Decision Regarding the Official’s Property
The court partially granted the lawsuit of the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office. According to the National Agency for Prevention of Corruption, the basis for this decision was the results of a lifestyle monitoring of the official conducted by the NAPC, as well as evidence collected by the State Bureau of Investigations.
“During the monitoring, authorized representatives of the NAPC established that the former head of the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support acquired a number of movable and immovable property, as well as cash, during his tenure.”
Among the unjustified assets are a house with a land plot and two cars registered in the name of the former official’s wife, as well as cash that the couple received.
Details of Property Acquisition and Further Actions
It was established that the mentioned property was purchased in cash, while the official’s family’s official income was primarily used in non-cash form. The NAPC analyzed the family’s financial transactions and concluded that it was impossible to acquire such property through legal income.
According to the court’s decision, the house with the land plot and the value of one of the cars will be seized for the state. The decision can be appealed within 30 days from the date of the full text of the court ruling.
