In 2025, agricultural production in Ukraine will differ significantly from previous years, as the most profitable crops of last season, such as corn, will not be the same this year. This was stated in an interview with The Ukrainian Farmer by the Chief Operating Officer of Continental Farmers Group, Kostyantyn Shytyuk.

“I believe that the most profitable crops this year will be rapeseed and sunflower, although we should not expect such high profitability as in 2024,” he noted.

Challenges for Farmers in 2026

According to Kostyantyn Shytyuk, predicting the situation for 2026 is currently difficult due to the complexity of forecasts, as Ukrainian farmers are operating under conditions of active military conflict. This creates a high level of uncertainty regarding logistics, access to ports, energy resources, and working conditions. It is also challenging to predict the pricing situation in the global food market for the next year.
