Export estimates and industry forecasts
According to estimates from Lachstock Consulting, which analyzes port charts, the volume of wheat exports from Australia in November was expected to be around 850 thousand tons before the start of active shipments of the new harvest. At the same time, the arrival of fresh produce is expected to raise the monthly figure to nearly 2 million tons.
For the entire export year that began on October 1, Lachstock forecasts a total supply of Australian wheat at 23.92 million tons.
“In the monthly WASDE report published on Tuesday, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) raised its forecast for Australian wheat exports by 1 million tons — to 27 million tons.”
