Dairy Product Prices in Ukraine: March Analysis

In March 2025, dairy product prices in Ukraine experienced a significant increase. According to data presented by the Ukrainian Club of Agrarian Business (UCAB) in its monthly food price monitoring, milk prices rose by 11%, cheese by 7%, and sour cream by 6%.

The main factors contributing to the price increase were the rising costs of animal feed and increasing energy expenses for dairy production. Currently, the price of milk ranges from 45.8 to 53.5 UAH per liter, which is 11% higher compared to the previous month, while the cost of cheese is 90-97 UAH, reflecting a 7% increase.
“In the coming weeks, the prices of dairy products should remain stable. An increase in milk yields (supply) should alter the pricing situation in the market, but this is expected with the onset of warmer weather (late April). Additionally, future dairy product prices will depend on the purchasing power of the population,” experts predict.
Thus, the state of the dairy market in Ukraine continues to remain under control, although external factors may influence its further development.
