Decrease in Ukraine’s Grain and Legume Exports in April 2025
In April 2025, Ukraine exported 2 million 269 thousand tons of grains and legumes, which is 3 million 391 thousand tons or 2.4 times less compared to the same month last year. This decline in exports indicates changes in the foreign economic indicators of the country’s agricultural sector.

Export Volumes of Specific Crops in April 2025
According to data from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, wheat exports in April 2025 amounted to 750 thousand tons, which is 958 thousand tons or 2.7 times more than in April 2024. This indicates an increase in domestic production or changes in foreign trade contractual relations.
Ukrainian farmers exported 47 thousand tons of barley in April 2024, which is 163 thousand tons less compared to the previous year. At the same time, in the second month of spring 2025, rye was not exported to foreign markets, whereas in April 2024, Ukraine exported 0.2 thousand tons of this crop.
Export Volumes of Corn and Flour
Corn exports in April 2025 totaled 1 million 460 thousand tons, which is 2 million 272 thousand tons or 2.5 times less than in the same month of the previous year. This may indicate a decrease in production or a change in foreign trade policy.
As for flour, in April 2025, 4.9 thousand tons were sent to foreign markets, which, when converted to grain, amounts to about 6.5 thousand tons. This is 1.9 thousand tons or 1.3 times less compared to last year, which also indicates a change in the volumes of external supplies.
