Export Railway Transportation of Cake and Meal Increased by 18% in January

The volume of export railway transportation of cake and meal in Ukraine reached 114.4 thousand tons in the first 13 days of January, which is 18% more than in the same period last year. At the same time, compared to December 2025, there is a slight decrease in volumes — by 1.3%.

The majority of the cargo, specifically 76%, was directed to western border crossings, while only 24% of the total transportation volume was accounted for by sea ports. This distribution structure demonstrates the growing role of western logistics routes for Ukrainian agricultural exports.

Dynamics of Oil Exports and Changes in Logistics

Similar trends are observed in the export of vegetable oil via railway transport. In the first 13 days of January, the export volume of oil amounted to 46.1 thousand tons. 35% of this product was transported through sea ports, while 65% of the exports were directed through western border crossings. Compared to December 2025, the export volumes of oil decreased by 10%, and compared to the same period last year — by 16%.
