Export of Soybean and Rapeseed Processing Products in Ukraine Surged After Tariff Implementation
In Ukraine, following the introduction of a 10% export tariff on raw soybean and rapeseed, a significant increase in the production and export volumes of their processed products has been recorded. This is indicated by data from the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada on Economic Development.

Increase in Processing and Foreign Currency Earnings
In the second half of 2025 (July-December), compared to the same period of the previous season, rapeseed processing into oil increased by 80%. The export of rapeseed oil rose by 80%, while foreign currency earnings from this export surged by 120%. The production of rapeseed meal during this period also increased by 80%, with exports of this product rising by 70%, and foreign currency earnings from it increasing by 40%.
“From September to December 2025, compared to the same period last year, the production of soybean oil in Ukraine increased by 22.4%, exports by 23.3%, and foreign currency earnings by 50%.”
The volumes of soybean processing into oil and meal exceeded the volumes of raw soybean exports by 3.7%.
Forecast of Record Figures in the New Season
According to experts’ estimates, in the 2025-2026 marketing year, a record rapeseed processing of up to 1.7 million tons is expected, which accounts for over 50% of the total harvest of the crop. At the same time, soybean processing may reach 3 million tons, which is over 60% of the gross yield. This level will enable maximum production volumes of rapeseed oil (720,000 tons) and soybean oil (600,000 tons).
