Greenhouses for Growing Strawberries Being Built in Vinnytsia Region with Government Grants
In the village of Savchyne in Vinnytsia, the construction of a modern greenhouse complex for growing garden strawberries is underway. The project is being implemented by the agricultural enterprise “Flora A.A.” with the support of the state program “eWork.”

According to the head of the enterprise, Andriy Kapritsa, 7 million UAH in government grants have been attracted for the project, along with over 3 million UAH in personal and loan funds. Currently, the installation of supports in the tunnel-type greenhouse has been completed, and plans are in place to cover the structure with film and install an irrigation system in the near future.
“We will be growing garden strawberries. We expect the first berries in the spring of next year,” Andriy Kapritsa told Suspilne.
The enterprise has already signed agreements for the sale of the future harvest with large buyers. In the future, the farmers plan to expand the greenhouse area by another 2 hectares and introduce the cultivation of vegetable crops. According to the farmer, the type of greenhouses allows for flexible changes in the types of plants grown: first strawberries, then vegetables.
Government Support for Greenhouse Farming Development
The “eWork” program provides for compensation of up to 70% of the project cost, with the applicant covering the remaining expenses. Grant funds have enabled the purchase of necessary equipment, greenhouse frames, and film, while tasks such as drilling wells and installing drip irrigation have been financed with the enterprise’s own resources.
As reported by Oleg Sidorov, director of the agricultural development department of the regional military administration, this year three enterprises in Vinnytsia region have already received grants for the creation of greenhouses, and a total of nine farming enterprises have benefited from the program. The total area of newly built greenhouses in the region exceeds 13.5 hectares.
Investments in greenhouse production positively impact not only the development of the agricultural sector but also the food security of the region. Greenhouse complexes provide protection for crops from adverse weather conditions and contribute to a stable supply of berries and vegetables to the market.
“These are investments not only in agribusiness but also in the food security of the region. Greenhouses help protect crops from the whims of weather and stabilize the supply of products,” said Oleg Sidorov.
