Harvest in Ukraine at the Beginning of 2026 Completed on Only 93% of Area

As of January 15, 2026, the harvesting of grains, legumes, and oilseeds continues in Ukraine. Farmers have already harvested 76.47 million tons of crops, which accounts for 96% of the total sown area.

Harvesting Rates Remain Slow
According to operational data from the Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture, harvesting is still not completed on 7% of the area. The main indicators of the harvest are as follows:
- Corn: 28.86 million tons harvested (increase over the week – 200 thousand tons) from 4.02 million hectares, which is 92% of the area; average yield – 7.17 t/ha.
- Sunflower: 9.28 million tons harvested from 4.84 million hectares (93% of the area); average yield is 1.92 t/ha, unchanged over the week.
- Soybean: 4.85 million tons harvested from 2.04 million hectares (99% of the area); average yield – 2.37 t/ha, unchanged over the week.
- Other Grains and Legumes: 957.1 thousand tons harvested from 334.1 thousand hectares, which corresponds to 85% of the area.
Regions Where Harvesting is Already Completed
Harvesting is fully completed in nine regions of the country. This list includes Vinnytsia, Zakarpattia, Zaporizhzhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Khmelnytskyi, and Chernivtsi regions.
