Herbicide Situation in the Regions
Deliveries of herbicides reached nearly 20.2 thousand tons, which is 105.6% of the annual need (19.07 thousand tons). This indicates a significant surplus in the planned supply of this group of products to farmers.
In 20 regions of the country, the availability of plant protection products reaches or exceeds 100%. The leaders in this indicator are Rivne region (139.5%), Odesa region (133.4%), and Mykolaiv region (131.5%).
Regions with the Lowest Level of Supply
Despite the overall positive trend, three regions remain below full provision for the declared needs for herbicides. Zaporizhia region has the lowest indicator — only 63.5% of the planned level. In Donetsk region, this figure is 80.7%, and in Dnipropetrovsk region — 99.7%.
“As of December 10, Ukrainian agribusinesses have received 34.03 thousand tons of plant protection products since the beginning of the year, which is 107.8% of the previously declared need for 2025 (31.58 thousand tons).”
Thus, most regions of Ukraine are already fully supplied with herbicides for the 2025 agricultural season, creating a reliable foundation for conducting spring fieldwork. However, there are still minor shortages in certain regions.
