Changes in Dairy Product and Egg Prices
Reports indicate that among dairy products, the highest price increase is observed in the hard cheese segment. For instance, a kilogram of Dutch cheese “Zveny Hora” with 45% fat content now costs an average of 534.93 hryvnias — this is 6 hryvnias cheaper than in March. At the same time, the packaging of this cheese in 285 grams has increased in price from 175.15 to 199 hryvnias. Similarly, the cheese “Como” with 50% fat has raised its price and now costs 534 hryvnias per kilogram, which is 7.15 hryvnias more than a month ago.
As for butter, prices have also changed. The butter “Selyanske” with 72.5% fat now costs an average of 117.25 hryvnias for a 200-gram package — this is 2.21 hryvnias more than in March. Conversely, the price of “Yagotynske” butter with 73% fat has decreased from 104.95 to 103.95 hryvnias for the same package.
Changes in Egg Prices
Prices for chicken eggs show a more complex picture. Eggs of the brand “Kvotchka” category C1 in a package of 10 have decreased in price from 74.68 to 68.30 hryvnias, while the price for eggs of the brand “Yasensvit” in the same category has increased from 70.78 to 73.53 hryvnias. In a larger package of “Yasensvit” — with 18 eggs — the price has risen from 121.19 to 123.93 hryvnias, and in the 30-egg package — from 215.34 to 223.85 hryvnias.
Overall, in 2025, there is a trend of rising prices for essential food products, which raises concerns among consumers and the agricultural sector.
