Imports of Apples, Pears, and Quinces to Ukraine Tripled in the First Five Months of 2025
From January to May 2025, Ukraine significantly increased its import of fresh fruits: the country imported 13,300 tons of apples, pears, and quinces. A total of 15.5 million US dollars was spent on these fruits, indicating a substantial increase compared to the previous year.

Growth in Import Volumes and Main Supplier Countries
Analyzing the dynamics, it can be noted that imports of apples, pears, and quinces to Ukraine during this period increased by 3.1 times compared to the same period in 2024. Expenditures on these fruits rose by 2.5 times. The main suppliers remain Poland, which accounted for 56.7% of imports, the Netherlands (18.6%), and Moldova (7.4%).

Ukraine Strengthens Its Position in the Global Berry Market
It is also worth noting that in 2024, Ukraine achieved outstanding results in the global berry market. For the first time, the country became a global leader in net exports of frozen raspberries, surpassing countries like Poland and Serbia. In the calendar year of 2024, the volume of frozen raspberry exports from Ukraine reached a record 65,000 tons, which is 34% more compared to the previous year. This indicates the growing potential of the Ukrainian agricultural sector and the strengthening of its position in international markets.
