Export Volumes and Market Trends
From September to December 19, 2025, Kazakhstan exported over 3.9 million tons of wheat to foreign markets. A significant portion of these volumes was directed specifically to Afghanistan, which is increasing its imports to ensure food security. Compared to the same period last year, supplies of Kazakh wheat to Afghanistan have grown by nearly 37%.
Positive dynamics are also observed in trade with other countries: exports to Uzbekistan increased by 35% — from 1.315 million tons to 1.774 million tons, while wheat supplies to Kyrgyzstan more than doubled.
Export Prospects and Supply Geography
“Kazakh wheat and its processed products are currently supplied to 45 countries worldwide, underscoring Kazakhstan’s growing role in the global grain market,” said Kazakhstan’s Minister of Agriculture Aydarbek Saparov.
According to the minister, Kazakhstan’s total export potential for wheat reaches 13 million tons. The increase in supplies to Afghanistan and other countries confirms the steady growth in demand for Kazakh grain and its competitiveness in global markets.
