The founder and CEO of TIASI, Sotiris A. Bouzeas, proposed the planting of olive and peach plantations in the Kherson region. This information was shared by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, on Facebook after a meeting with Bouzeas.

Sotiris A. Bouzeas leads an international project that promotes cooperation and investments in the aerospace industry, technology, advanced manufacturing, and the academic sector in the European Union, the Middle East, North Africa, and Canada. He emphasized that the climate changes observed recently in southern Ukraine require farmers to adapt to new conditions.

Traditional crops that were previously profitable are no longer yielding business profits due to declining yields in the new climatic realities.

“Thus, growing olives and producing olive oil — this business could be profitable for our farmers, create additional jobs, and help develop the region’s economy,” Prokudin noted.

Additionally, Sotiris A. Bouzeas shared successful examples of implementing his projects in maritime infrastructure development and shipbuilding, expressing confidence that this experience can be effectively applied in the Kherson region.
