Largest Importers of Ukrainian Honey in 2024

In 2024, Ukraine achieved a record honey export volume, delivering 85,800 tons of product to international markets. This figure exceeded last year’s by 55%, indicating a growing demand for Ukrainian honey. Exporters also received a record revenue of $167 million — 38% more than in 2023.

According to Dmytro Kroshka, head of the Ukrainian Agrarian Export Association (UAAE), the European Union remained the main market for Ukrainian honey, with 71,000 tons shipped, accounting for 83% of total exports.
Countries Importing Honey from Ukraine
Among the largest buyers of Ukrainian honey in 2024 were:
- Germany — 18,900 tons;
- USA — 12,100 tons;
- Poland — 9,700 tons;
- France — 9,600 tons;
- Belgium — 7,100 tons;
- Spain — 5,400 tons.
Diversification of Sales Markets
A significant portion of the growth in Ukrainian honey exports was driven by the diversification of markets, particularly shipments to the United States, where purchase volumes increased sixfold compared to 2023. It is also worth noting exports to Israel (800 tons), Japan (451 tons), and Turkey (364 tons).
