What Happened During the Fire in Mushni

According to Hryhoriy Tahronsky, yesterday the fire engulfed a significant area of the forest, destroying berry patches and mushroom spots — favorite places for relaxation and gathering for local residents. In his statement, he noted:

“Yesterday, the village of Mushni was almost burned down. The fire covered a vast area of the forest, destroying berry patches and mushroom spots — what we lived for, breathed, and passed on to our children…”

. This caused genuine alarm among local residents, as the fire threatened not only nature but also people’s lives.

Firefighting Efforts

Over 10 units of equipment and about a hundred rescuers and foresters were involved in combating the fire. They worked in coordination to localize the fire as quickly as possible and prevent its spread. There are also reports of another fire that occurred between the settlements of Blazheve and Bilsk, confirming the level of risk in the region.
