Ministry of Agrarian Policy Estimates Barley Yield at 2.5 t/ha in Southern Regions
In three southern regions of Ukraine, an active harvesting campaign for grain and leguminous crops is underway. According to operational information from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, as of June 19, farmers have already harvested 34.8 thousand tons of the new crop from an area of 14.2 thousand hectares.

Main Harvesting Results
The largest share of the harvested grain consists of barley. A total of 33.9 thousand tons have been threshed from an area of 13.6 thousand hectares. The average yield of this crop currently reaches 24.9 quintals per hectare, which corresponds to 2.5 tons per hectare. In addition to barley, farms have already harvested 0.9 thousand tons of peas from an area of 0.6 thousand hectares, with a yield of 15.2 q/ha.
Leaders of the Harvesting Campaign
The harvest is currently ongoing in Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions. Among them, Odesa is the leader in the volume of threshed areas, demonstrating the highest activity in harvesting.
It is noted that the main part of the threshed grain consists of barley — 33.9 thousand tons have been harvested from an area of 13.6 thousand hectares at a yield of 24.9 q/ha.
The harvesting campaign continues, and farmers are increasing the pace of grain collection in the southern regions of Ukraine.
