Practicality and Features of the Naked Neck Breed
Their appearance is not only attractive but also functional: naked necks have good endurance and are low-maintenance. They easily adapt to their living conditions and coexist well with other breeds. Even in an aviary with a height of only 1.2 meters, these hens behave actively, almost like airplanes, due to their agility and enthusiasm.
Diet and Productivity of Naked Necks
The diet of these chickens is very diverse: Vladimir Ivanovich grinds the grain himself — corn, wheat, barley, and adds cake, fish meal, chalk, and eggshells to support the health and high productivity of the birds. Initially, young chicks are fed boiled eggs and cheese, and later they are switched to adult feed after a month.
The results of raising naked necks are impressive: nearly 95% survival rate of the young, egg production of up to 200 eggs per year, and the weight of roosters reaching 7 kg. This makes the breed ideal for households that value endurance and high productivity in poultry.
