Ukrainian Grain for the Syrian Market

According to the port administration, two of the ships that arrived in Tartus transported wheat from Ukraine, while the third came from Russia. The unloading process is currently underway: part of the grain is being sent to port silos for further storage, while the rest is being promptly dispatched by trucks and rail to various regions of Syria. These logistical operations are coordinated by the General Company of Syrian Railways.

Expectations for New Shipments of Grain

In addition to the already delivered batches, a fourth ship with 26,000 tons of wheat is currently anchored at the port, waiting for its turn to unload. Several more ships carrying grain, totaling about 50,000 tons, are expected to arrive in Tartus soon. Additionally, at the beginning of November, four ships had already docked at the port, delivering 94,000 tons of wheat for mills across all provinces of the country, which will further enhance food security in Syria.
