Over 4 Million Hectares of Winter Crops Sown in Ukraine: Regional Leaders
As of October 14, 2025, Ukrainian farmers have already sown 4,083.2 thousand hectares of winter crops, which accounts for 62% of the planned areas for this season.

Winter Sowing Campaign: Detailed Results
- Winter Wheat — the sown area is 2,821.2 thousand hectares.
- Winter Barley — 222.0 thousand hectares sown.
- Winter Rye — 54.8 thousand hectares sown.
Winter grains are being sown in all regions of Ukraine.
The largest areas of winter crops have been sown in Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, and Poltava regions, which are showing leadership in this year’s sowing campaign.
Situation with Winter Rapeseed Sowing
This year, winter rapeseed occupies 985.3 thousand hectares. The largest areas of this crop have been sown in Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, and Mykolaiv regions. In 13 regions of the country, farmers have already completed the sowing of winter rapeseed, indicating adherence to optimal timelines and active work by farms in the specified regions.
