Over 40 Million Tons of Grain Harvested in Ukraine: Harvest Results by the End of October

By the end of October 2025, Ukrainian farmers have harvested over 40 million tons of grain crops, having threshed 76% of the sown area. The total area harvested amounts to 8.77 million hectares.

Details of the Main Grain Harvest

• Wheat: 22.78 million tons from an area of 5.05 million hectares.
• Barley: 5.37 million tons from 1.35 million hectares.
• Peas: 660.7 thousand tons from 271.3 thousand hectares.
• Corn: 10.36 million tons harvested from 1.68 million hectares, which is 40% of all sown areas for this crop.

In addition, other grains and legumes have been harvested totaling 881.6 thousand tons from an area of 319.1 thousand hectares.

Regional Leaders in Harvesting

• Odesa Region: 3.81 million tons from an area of 1.15 million hectares.
• Poltava Region: 3.12 million tons from an area of 653.8 thousand hectares.
• Chernihiv Region: 3.04 million tons from an area of 464.6 thousand hectares.
• Vinnytsia Region: 2.99 million tons from an area of 516.9 thousand hectares.

In addition to grains, the harvesting of oilseeds is also actively ongoing. As of October 31, 15.63 million tons of oilseeds have been harvested:

• Sunflower: 8.37 million tons from an area of 4.44 million hectares (86% of the sown area).
• Soybean: 3.94 million tons from 1.68 million hectares (78% of the area).
• Rapeseed: 3.32 million tons from 1.28 million hectares. The harvest of this crop has already been completed.

Regarding sugar beets, by the end of October, 6.79 million tons have been harvested from an area of 130 thousand hectares, which is 66% of the sown area.

“As of October 31, Ukraine has already harvested 40,200.9 thousand tons of grain crops from an area of 8,770.8 thousand hectares. 76% of the area sown with these crops has been threshed.”
