Pork Imports in Ukraine Increased by 3.8 Times in 2025

From January to March 2025, Ukraine imported 2.6 thousand tons of pork, which is 3.8 times more compared to the same period last year. This data is provided in the report by the State Customs Service of Ukraine.

In monetary terms, the import volume for the first quarter of this year amounted to 5.4 million dollars, which is 3.2 times more than in January-March 2024. The main suppliers of pork were European countries: Denmark (84.6%), the Netherlands (9.4%), and Poland (4.5%).

Growth in Exports and Key Directions

Although pork exports also increased, the growth rate was lower — 1.7 times compared to the first quarter of last year. During this period, Ukraine shipped 845 tons of pork. Revenue from foreign trade in monetary terms increased by 1.8 times and amounted to 2.4 million dollars.

The main importing countries of Ukrainian pork during this period were Hong Kong (34%), the United Arab Emirates (20.2%), and Bahrain (12.2%).
