Prices of Eggs in Ukraine May Rise Sharply Ahead of Easter

In Ukraine, the prices of eggs continue to rise, and experts predict that this is not the end. According to information provided by analyst Maksym Hopka from the Ukrainian Agribusiness Club, a new price surge is expected soon.

According to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, in March, the average price of a dozen eggs in supermarkets increased by 3.58 UAH, reaching 70.2 UAH. Analysts believe that this trend will continue in April, primarily due to the increasing demand ahead of Easter, which will be celebrated on April 20 this year.
“In the period leading up to the holiday, there is traditionally a sharp increase in egg prices, and 2025 will be no exception. The next price jump is likely to occur in early or mid-April,” market experts note.
However, there is a possibility of price stabilization. According to Hopka, this will depend on weather conditions: if April is warm, egg production may increase, which will help curb further price hikes.
Consumers are advised to plan their purchases in advance to avoid overpaying for one of the main products of the Easter table.
