Production and Export of Poultry Meat in Ukraine: Forecast for 2025

According to current forecasts, poultry meat production in Ukraine is expected to grow by 0.4% in 2025. Globally, this figure will reach 1.5%, while in the European Union it will be 0.2%.

These data were presented by the General Director of the Ukrainian Scientific Research Institute of Productivity of the Agro-Industrial Complex, Volodymyr Ivchenko, during the International Practical Forum on Poultry Farming.
Ukraine Among Leading Global Exporters
Ivchenko emphasized that Ukraine currently ranks fifth in the world among the largest exporters of poultry meat, accounting for 3.4% of the global market. Ukrainian producers maintain significant potential for further development of the industry, despite the challenges of wartime and fluctuations in market conditions.
Export Dynamics and Financial Results
“The share of exports in the production of this product in 2024 was 36.6%. Compared to the pre-war figures of 2021, poultry meat export volumes decreased by 2.2% last year, to 448.8 thousand tons. Meanwhile, revenue increased by 34.4% to $962.7 million,” noted Volodymyr Ivchenko.
According to the expert, in 2024, the share of exports in the structure of poultry meat production was 36.6%. Despite a slight decrease in export volumes compared to 2021, export revenues significantly increased to $962.7 million. This indicates an improvement in price conditions in global markets.
Regarding future prospects, analysts predict a 6.5% increase in the export of Ukrainian poultry meat in 2025. This provides the industry with opportunities to expand supply geography and strengthen positions in foreign markets.
