Provision of Ukrainian Farmers with Plant Protection Products Reached 85.3%

Ukrainian agricultural enterprises are provided with plant protection products (PPP) at a level of 85.3% as of early May 2025. The relevant statistics, published by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, indicate that farmers have approximately 22.664 million tons of such products, while the need is 26.585 million tons.

Situation with Herbicide Stocks
According to the ministry’s information, the greatest demand is for herbicides — 17.463 million tons. Currently, agricultural producers possess 14.704 million tons of herbicides, which constitutes 84.2% of the calculated need.
Level of Provision in the Regions of Ukraine
The lowest level of provision with PPP is observed among agricultural producers in the Ukrainian-controlled territories of Donetsk region — only 17.3%. In Kyiv region, this figure is 28.6%, in Zaporizhzhia — 58.9%, in Dnipropetrovsk — 63.0%, and in Lviv — 74.2%.
At the same time, the leaders in terms of plant protection product stocks are farmers in Odesa region, who have 114.3% of the need. Producers in Poltava and Vinnytsia regions are also fully supplied with PPP — at 100%, while farms in Mykolaiv region have 98.6% of the need for these products.
