Historical Significance of the Bell
This bell holds historical significance as it was previously used to call the congregation of the Dobrotiv Church, which was one of the prominent spiritual centers of the region. The metal surface retains carved images, icons, and depictions of angels. According to Viktor Lechman, “the 19th-century bell rings again over Dobrotove — it is the voice of faith, unity, and hope.”
The Restoration Process and Gratitude to Participants
The installation of the ancient bell took place just before the Easter holidays, marking an important event for the local community. The mayor noted that this bell is not just a metal object, but a symbol of history and spiritual heritage that will once again connect generations. “This is not just metal; it is the voice of history that will ring out over Dobrotove, uniting generations,” he emphasized.
He expressed his gratitude for the assistance in returning the bell to the village elder Svitlana Zavhorodnia, the head of the agricultural enterprise “Obriy” Volodymyr Zavhorodnyi, Father Vladyslav, and the residents who contributed to the restoration of this historical monument.
