Sunflower Harvesting in Ukraine Concludes: Updated Data on Grain and Oilseed Yields

As of mid-November 2025, the active phase of harvesting grain and oilseed crops is ongoing in Ukraine. Agricultural producers have already threshed 84% of the sown grain areas, totaling 9.83 million hectares. In total, 47.94 million tons of grain crops have been harvested.

Yield Indicators for Major Grain Crops

• Wheat: 22.90 million tons harvested from an area of 5.05 million hectares, with an average yield of 4.53 t/ha.
• Barley: total harvest – 5.42 million tons from 1.36 million hectares, yield – 3.98 t/ha.
• Peas: 671.4 thousand tons harvested from an area of 275.1 thousand hectares, with an average yield of 2.44 t/ha.
• Corn: 17.91 million tons harvested from an area of 2.72 million hectares (62% of the total area), with an average yield of 6.59 t/ha.
• Other grains and legumes: total harvest amounted to 886.3 thousand tons from 323.3 thousand hectares.

The largest volumes of grain harvesting are reported in Chernihiv (4.12 million tons), Odesa (3.83 million tons), Vinnytsia (3.72 million tons), and Poltava regions (3.70 million tons).

Harvesting of Oilseed Crops and Sugar Beets

• Sunflower: total harvest reached 8.92 million tons from an area of 4.74 million hectares, which is 91% of the sown area; average yield — 1.88 t/ha.
• Soy: 4.65 million tons obtained from an area of 1.96 million hectares, which is 95% of the sown area; average yield — 2.38 t/ha.
• Rapeseed: 3.31 million tons harvested from an area of 1.26 million hectares, with a yield of 2.63 t/ha. The rapeseed harvesting campaign has already been completed.

Regarding sugar beets, 9.29 million tons have been harvested from an area of 174.7 thousand hectares, which is 88% of the sown area.
