Three agricultural enterprises have joined the “Own Orchard” program in the Lviv region, intending to create 50 hectares of apple orchards and 4.02 hectares of raspberry fields. The total amount of funded support for these farms exceeded 20.5 million hryvnias. This was reported by the Department of Agricultural Development of the Lviv Regional Military Administration on Facebook.

Since the launch of the program to support horticulture and berry farming in the Lviv region, over 111.2 million hryvnias in funding has been approved. “The grant program ‘eWork’ provides an opportunity for farmers to receive funds for establishing orchards ranging from 1 to 25 hectares,” noted Acting Director of the Department Kateryna Olinets.

How the Program Works and Conditions for Grant Support

Under the program’s conditions, the state compensates up to 70% of the project implementation costs, but no more than 10 million hryvnias. The remaining funds must be provided by the applicants from their own or borrowed sources. One of the mandatory conditions is the creation of new jobs. Grant funds can be used for the purchase of seedlings, equipment, irrigation systems, fertilizers, plant protection products, and other necessary materials.

It is worth noting that funding for horticulture and berry farming under this program has currently been completed due to budget exhaustion.
