The demand for greenhouse tomatoes in the Ukrainian market is rapidly declining. Market operators note that the situation in the tomato segment remains complex, as major purchases are made by large retail chains in small batches to maintain product assortment. Additionally, the surplus of vegetables in the market is ensured by increased imports from Turkey.

Decrease in Prices for Imported Tomatoes

In the current circumstances, sellers have been forced to lower prices for greenhouse tomatoes. As of today, imported vegetables from Turkey are offered at a price of 70-90 UAH/kg (approximately $1.68-2.17/kg), which is 17% cheaper compared to the end of last week.
