Tunisia Acquires 150,000 Tons of Wheat in International Tender

The Tunisian Grain Agency (ODC) conducted a tender for the purchase of a large batch of various types of wheat.
Tender Details and Suppliers
On Friday, March 6, as a result of the tender, the Tunisian Grain Agency signed contracts to purchase 100,000 tons of soft wheat and 50,000 tons of durum wheat of unspecified origin. The following companies participated in the supply of soft wheat:
- Buildcom – 25,000 tons at a price of $271.69 per ton
- Cereal Crops – 25,000 tons at $274.68 per ton
- Cofco – 25,000 tons at $272.01 per ton
- Finagrit – 25,000 tons at $274.57 per ton
The durum wheat was purchased from Casillo, at 25,000 tons for $334.49 and $334.67 per ton respectively.
Delivery Terms and Conditions
According to the terms of the contracts, the soft wheat is to be delivered to Tunisia between April 1 and May 20, while the durum wheat is to be delivered from April 1 to April 30.

The procurement of such a large quantity of grain indicates a stable demand in international markets and Tunisia’s food strategy for 2026.
