Turkey Remains the Main Importer of Ukrainian Corn in February 2026

In February 2026, Ukraine exported 2.48 million tons of corn, indicating sustained high demand for Ukrainian grain in the international market.

Structure of Corn Exports in February

Turkey maintains its position as the largest buyer of Ukrainian corn, importing 802 thousand tons, which accounts for 32% of the total export volume for the month. Spain ranks second with 477 thousand tons, followed by Italy (343 thousand tons) and the Netherlands (256 thousand tons). The combined share of these four countries exceeds 75% of the total export of Ukrainian corn in February.

Although the demand structure remains concentrated, diversification among European Union countries has somewhat expanded compared to the previous month, indicating a gradual increase in interest in Ukrainian grain among European importers.

Price Dynamics and Export Logistics

Over the past week, the price of corn under CPT Odesa conditions increased by 1 dollar, reaching 213 US dollars per ton. It is noted that the physical corn market is responding to changes more slowly than the CBOT exchange, which is related to global competition among grain suppliers.

At the western border of Ukraine, demand from Italian buyers for April-May remains at 186–187 euros per ton under FCA Chop conditions. Logistics operations through western border crossings are being conducted without significant restrictions, contributing to export stability.

Additionally, discussions about the export of the new harvest of Ukrainian corn are already actively underway. Offers for November-December 2026 are around 205 US dollars CPT sea ports and 182 euros FCA Chop.
