Ukraine Maintains Leadership in Raspberry Exports to Europe in 2025
Ukraine has been demonstrating active growth in frozen raspberry exports for eight years. In 2025, this trend continues, and the country, according to expert estimates, may once again top the list of the largest raspberry exporters to the European Union.

Ukraine Outpaces Poland and Serbia
The President of the Ukrainian Fruit and Vegetable Association, Taras Bashtannik, notes that Ukrainian raspberries have held the leading position in the European market for the second consecutive year, surpassing traditional competitors—Poland and Serbia. He emphasizes that although final statistical data has not yet been released, the available information confirms that leadership remains with Ukraine.
“I believe that for the second year in a row we are the largest exporters of raspberries in Europe, outpacing both Poland and Serbia. It is likely that we will take first place in raspberry exports to the EU for the second consecutive year,” he predicts.
Prices, Crop Losses, and Industry Prospects
According to Bashtannik, in 2025, raspberry prices in Ukraine are approximately 20% higher than last year’s figures. At the same time, the expert points out some production difficulties: part of the crop was lost due to spring frosts that damaged the first wave of remontant raspberry shoots. As a result, the first harvest did not take place, leading to estimated losses of around 20%. However, the rest of the crop was unaffected, which supports optimistic forecasts for the industry.
“There are losses, possibly around 20%. This is due to the fact that the first wave of remontant raspberry shoots was damaged by frosts in the spring. Given this situation, the first wave of the harvest was not collected. This accounts for the mentioned 20%. The rest of the raspberry crop in Ukraine was not affected,” the expert concluded.
Thus, the Ukrainian raspberry market remains one of the most dynamic in Europe, and the country’s export positions continue to strengthen.
