Ukrainian Farmers Approach Harvesting the First Million Tons of Grain from the 2025 Crop

As of July 4, 2025, Ukrainian agricultural producers are actively harvesting early grains and legumes. A total of 331.9 thousand hectares have been harvested, yielding 865.7 thousand tons of grain.

Main Harvest Indicators
Among the early crops, the largest areas are occupied by wheat, barley, and peas. In particular, wheat has been harvested from an area of 107.4 thousand hectares, producing 277.8 thousand tons of grain. Barley has been harvested from 176.6 thousand hectares, resulting in 501.2 thousand tons. Peas have been harvested from 47.2 thousand hectares, yielding 83.8 thousand tons of crop.

Harvesting in Regions: Which Areas Are Leading
Currently, nine regions of the country have joined the active harvesting phase. The largest contributions to the national harvest come from:
- Odesa region: 175.8 thousand hectares harvested, 516.2 thousand tons;
- Mykolaiv region: 119.7 thousand hectares, 276.7 thousand tons;
- Dnipropetrovsk region: 17.7 thousand hectares, 37.2 thousand tons.
Additionally, farmers in Mykolaiv, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions have already harvested 71.6 thousand tons of rapeseed, having processed 46 thousand hectares of this crop.
The harvesting continues, and in the near future, Ukrainian farmers expect to surpass the one million ton mark for the new crop of grain.
