Price and Demand Situation for Ukrainian Soybeans
According to analysts at Spike Brokers, the export price CPT Odesa for GMO soybeans remains at $435 per ton, unchanged over the past week. Meanwhile, the processing price, including VAT, has risen to $472 per ton, which is one dollar higher compared to the previous period.
“Certain batches of GMO soybeans have periodically been sold under ‘hot’ export contracts in ports at prices up to $445/ton CPT; however, demand remains limited, and trading is moderate. Farmers are selling cautiously, while processors maintain a steady but not aggressive interest,” the brokers noted.
Export Dynamics of Soybeans and Processed Products
In January, Ukraine exported 226 thousand tons of soybeans, slightly exceeding the December figure. The majority of the exported products were traditionally directed to European Union countries. At the same time, soybean oil exports decreased to 35 thousand tons compared to 53.9 thousand tons in December. Soybean meal exports amounted to 110 thousand tons, indicating sustained demand for processed soybean products.
