Structure of Grain Exports

Wheat remains the main item of Ukrainian exports: since the beginning of the marketing year, 5.176 million tons have been shipped, which is less than last year’s figure of 7.081 million tons. Barley exports amounted to 939 thousand tons, while in the previous marketing year this volume was 1.588 million tons. Corn export volumes have also decreased, totaling 1.040 million tons compared to 3.543 million tons in the same period last year.

Flour Exports and Market Influences

Ukraine also exported 17 thousand tons of flour, equivalent to 22.1 thousand tons in grain terms. In comparison, in 2024, flour exports in grain terms reached 29.5 thousand tons.

“These changes in export figures indicate significant fluctuations in the grain market, partly due to weather conditions and other factors. At the same time, experts note that the overall export volume in 2025 was significantly influenced by the situation in global markets, as well as internal agricultural production factors.”

Experts emphasize that grain and flour exports remain a key element of Ukraine’s economy, contributing to the improvement of the trade balance and strengthening the country’s position in international agricultural markets.
