Ukrainian Grain Exports in the 2025/26 Marketing Year Decreased by 38.7% as of October

As of October 10, 2025/26 marketing year, Ukraine exported 7.19 million tons of grains and leguminous crops, which is 4.55 million tons or 38.7% less than the figure for the same period last year.

Export Dynamics of Major Crops

The largest share of exports is traditionally occupied by wheat. As of October, Ukrainian wheat exports reached 5.12 million tons. However, this volume is 1.67 million tons or 24.6% lower than last year.

Barley shipments also decreased, totaling 939 thousand tons. This is 39.4% less compared to the same period in 2024. Rye exports were recorded at 0.2 thousand tons.

Significant Decrease in Corn and Flour Exports

Corn exports from Ukraine during this period amounted to 974 thousand tons. Compared to last year, this figure decreased by 2.15 million tons, corresponding to a decline of 68.7%.

At the same time, 16.9 thousand tons of flour were sent abroad (or 22.5 thousand tons in grain equivalent), which is also 4.3 thousand tons or 23.5% less than last year.

“As of October 10, Ukrainian wheat exports amount to 5 million 120 thousand tons, which is 1 million 670 thousand tons or 24.6% less than last year.”
