Ukrainian Maritime Corridor Operates Despite Shelling and Power Supply Disruptions
The Ukrainian maritime corridor continues to function steadily despite systematic attacks from Russia aimed at port, energy, and railway infrastructure. This was stated by the Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksiy Kuleba during a working meeting with representatives of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Administration in the Odesa region.

Measures Taken for Port Resilience
Kuleba emphasized that under the conditions of constant shelling, special attention is being paid to strengthening energy autonomy in the ports. To this end, backup power sources are being installed, cogeneration units are being introduced, and critical infrastructure facilities are being modernized. These steps allow Ukrainian ports to adapt to operating in challenging conditions and ensure the continuity of export operations even during combined attacks.
“Despite constant shelling and threats, we maintain the operation of the maritime corridor because we understand our responsibility to the countries that depend on Ukrainian grain,” he said.
Adaptation to New Challenges
According to the official, Ukrainian ports demonstrate flexibility and the ability to respond quickly to changing situations. All efforts are directed at ensuring that no energy or military threats hinder the fulfillment of Ukraine’s export obligations. Ensuring the stable operation of the maritime corridor is crucial for the food security of many countries that rely on the supply of Ukrainian grain.
