Ukrainian Wheat Prices Decline Amid Rising Competition in the Global Market
In the Ukrainian wheat market, a significant decrease in prices has been recorded, caused by reduced activity from traders and exporters towards the ports. Food wheat has fallen by $5–6 per ton, while feed wheat has lost about $1 per ton.

Increase in Supply on the Global Market
The main reason for the price drop has been the increase in wheat volumes on the global market. Russia has significantly boosted its export of this crop, and a high harvest is also expected in Canada and Australia. This has given international importers confidence in a stable supply of grain, creating additional pressure on Ukrainian exporters.
Export Dynamics and Challenges for Ukraine
In November 2025, Ukraine exported 1 million tons of wheat, which is slightly less compared to November of last year, when the figure was 1.1 million tons. As of December 4, the harvest of grains and legumes in Ukraine stands at 53.5 million tons.
Experts note that the competition for the sale of Ukrainian wheat is only intensifying, so exporters need to quickly seek new routes and approaches to maintain their positions in the international market.
Experts warn that the active struggle for wheat markets is just beginning, and Ukrainian exporters will have to find new strategies to maintain competitiveness in the global market.
