USDA Forecast: Corn Harvest in Ukraine Remains at 26.8 Million Tons

USDA analysts predict that global corn production for the 2024/25 season will reach 1,215.1 million tons, which is an increase of 0.93 million tons compared to the previous forecast. The estimate for global corn exports has decreased to 188.68 million tons, a decline of 2.32 million tons. Additionally, the forecast for ending stocks stands at 287.65 million tons, which is 1.29 million tons lower.

In Ukraine, the forecast for the corn harvest remains unchanged at 26.8 million tons, while the export estimate is 22 million tons and ending stocks are 0.74 million tons.

Forecasts for Major Corn Producers

USDA analysts have also made no changes to the corn production forecast for the United States, which is set at 377.63 million tons. The export forecast has been raised to 64.77 million tons, while the estimate for ending stocks has been reduced to 37.22 million tons.

Forecasts for major corn exporters for the 2024/25 marketing year are as follows:

• Argentina: harvest — 50 million tons, export — 36 million tons, stocks — 2.38 million tons.
• Brazil: harvest — 126 million tons, export — 44 million tons, stocks — 2.98 million tons.
• Russia: harvest — 14 million tons, export — 3.3 million tons, stocks — 0.91 million tons.
• South Africa: harvest — 16 million tons, export — 1.7 million tons, stocks — 1.33 million tons.

The corn harvest in China is estimated at 294.92 million tons, with imports at 8 million tons and ending stocks at 201.18 million tons.
