USDA Keeps Corn Yield Forecast for Ukraine Unchanged for 2025

Analysts from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) have released an updated report on the global corn market for the 2025/26 marketing year. According to the data, global corn production is expected to reach 1,265.98 million tons, which is only 1 million tons higher than last season’s figure. A slight increase in global exports is also projected — to 195.81 million tons, while ending stocks of grain may decrease to 275.24 million tons, which is 2.6 million tons less than previously estimated.

Corn Production in Ukraine and Leading Exporting Countries
According to the USDA’s June report, the corn yield forecast for Ukraine remains unchanged at 30.5 million tons. The volume of corn exports from Ukraine is projected to be 24 million tons, while ending stocks are estimated at 0.6 million tons.
Corn production in the United States is also estimated to remain at the previous level — 401.85 million tons. The export forecast for the U.S. stands at 67.95 million tons, while ending stocks have decreased to 44.46 million tons, which is 1.27 million tons less than in the previous report.
Major Exporters: Forecast Data for 2025/26 MY
USDA provided detailed figures for production, export, and ending stocks of corn for key exporters in the 2025/26 season:
- Argentina: yield — 53 million tons, export — 37 million tons, stocks — 3.19 million tons (+0.4 million tons).
- Brazil: yield — 131 million tons, export — 43 million tons, stocks — 2.59 million tons (+0.01 million tons).
- Russia: yield — 15 million tons, export — 3.6 million tons, stocks — 1.16 million tons (unchanged).
- South Africa: yield — 16.5 million tons, export — 1.9 million tons, stocks — 1.66 million tons (-0.33 million tons).
“USDA analysts forecast global corn production in the 2025/26 MY at 1,265.98 million tons (+1 million tons from the previous season). The estimate for global corn exports is 195.81 million tons (+0.01 million tons), and the forecast for ending stocks is 275.24 million tons (-2.6 million tons)”.
Regarding China, analysts estimate the corn yield at 295 million tons. Corn imports to the country will amount to 10 million tons, while ending stocks will decrease to 181.16 million tons, which is 1 million tons less than the previous forecast.
