Record Wheat Export Volumes from the USA
Despite limited statistical data due to the suspension of government operations in the USA, information regarding wheat export inspections is regularly updated. In the week ending October 16, American exporters shipped 480.6 thousand tons of grain. Since the beginning of the marketing year, which started on June 1, wheat exports from the USA have reached 11.92 million tons. This is the highest figure for the USA since the 2013/2014 season.
Steady Growth of Exports in Canada
According to the Canadian Grain Commission, the pace of wheat shipments from Canada remains stable, and export statistics are updated weekly. The high demand for wheat from North America is driven by a decrease in supply from the Black Sea region, as well as adverse weather conditions in several other producing countries.
“Exporters from both countries are benefiting from high demand in global markets against the backdrop of reduced supply from the Black Sea region and unfavorable weather conditions in some producing countries.”
