The total market value of all cryptocurrencies is showing a strong increase, surpassing the 4 trillion dollar mark. Over the past day, the sector’s capitalization has risen by more than 6%, indicating a rapid recovery after the recent crash.

The cryptocurrency market recently experienced one of its largest downturns. The sharp correction was triggered by statements from U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the imposition of an additional 100% tariff on goods from China, as well as increased control over software exports. As a result of these events, total losses exceeding 7.4 billion dollars were recorded within a day.
However, by the morning of October 13 in London, Bitcoin was trading around 115,000 dollars, recovering from a drop to less than 105,000 dollars in the U.S. on October 10. Other key cryptocurrencies also showed positive dynamics: Ethereum reached approximately 4,100 dollars, bouncing back after falling below 3,500 dollars. A number of smaller tokens also partially compensated for the losses.
Growth Factors and Future Prospects
The market’s activation coincided with conciliatory statements from Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance, who demonstrated a willingness to engage in dialogue with China. This positively affected investor sentiment and stimulated the recovery of prices.
“The recovery was triggered by Trump’s conciliatory statement. In the long term, the risk of negative news, as throughout 2025, remains high, and the market is susceptible to any further announcements regarding the escalation of the trade war or any other risks,” said Richard Galvin, co-founder of the DACM hedge fund.
According to Binance exchange, as of 10:40, Bitcoin was trading at 115,500.63 dollars per coin. Experts emphasize that the situation in the cryptocurrency market remains volatile, and further changes will depend on the development of geopolitical events.
