Czech Republic to Introduce Guarantee Programs for Companies Entering the Ukrainian Market
The Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, Karel Havlíček, announced the government’s plans to create new guarantee and insurance programs for Czech companies intending to start operations in the Ukrainian market. According to him, such initiatives will facilitate the attraction of investments and necessary products to Ukraine, as well as ease the entry of Czech enterprises into the Ukrainian market.

Potential for Cooperation between the Czech Republic and Ukraine
Karel Havlíček reminded that Ukraine has traditionally been among the top five most important foreign trade partners of the Czech Republic outside the European Union. Despite a decrease in trade volumes during the war, there is currently a recovery in business activity between the two countries. In the opinion of the Czech minister, joint projects in the fields of transport infrastructure, medical construction, machine engineering, and energy are of particular interest to Czech enterprises.
“Here, the state can play a key role. This is a concrete step that will help Ukraine, as the necessary products and investments will flow there,” he said, adding that at the same time, this could ease the entry into the Ukrainian market for Czech companies.
Preparation for Economic Negotiations
Havlíček noted that Ukraine remains a promising direction for Czech business. He stated that teams from both countries are already working on organizing meetings at the economic level, which will allow for deepening cooperation and implementing joint projects.
The minister also expressed hope for a swift end to the war, viewing this circumstance as an opportunity to expand cooperation and further develop trade relations between the Czech Republic and Ukraine.
