Demand for Electric Vehicles from China Rises in Ukraine: Monthly Sales Statistics

Ukrainian motorists are increasingly favoring passenger cars from China, most of which are electric vehicles. In the past month, 1580 passenger cars of Chinese manufacture were imported and purchased in Ukraine.

Significant Increase in Demand for Chinese Cars
Compared to May 2024, the number of cars purchased by Ukrainians from China has increased by 70% this year. This indicates a steady rise in interest in vehicles from this country, especially models with electric powertrains.
New and Used Cars: Leading Models
Of the total number of vehicles purchased, 1335 units were new, while another 245 were used. It is impressive that the share of electric vehicles among Chinese passenger cars reached 85%.
Among the new cars imported from China, the most popular models were:
- Volkswagen ID.UNYX — 254 cars
- BYD Song Plus — 216 cars
- Honda eNS1 — 188 cars
- BYD Sea Lion 07 — 61 cars
- Zeekr 7X — 55 cars
In the segment of used cars from China, the leaders are:
- Zeekr 001 — 26 cars
- Buick Envision — 19 cars
- Volkswagen ID.UNYX — 18 cars
- Audi Q4 e-tron — 17 cars
- MG ZS — 15 cars
