Price Ranges for Major Currencies
The dollar exchange rate in most exchange offices and open bank branches, according to the expert’s calculations, will remain within the following range: buying from 41.10 to 41.45 UAH per dollar, selling – from 41.50 to 41.70 UAH per dollar.
As for the euro, it is forecasted that the rates will vary within the following limits: buying from 46.50 to 46.95 UAH per euro, selling – from 47.10 to 47.60 UAH per euro.
Influencing Factors and Spread
The expert notes that some exchange offices may slightly adjust their rates – changing them by 3-5 kopecks according to the local market situation and customer needs in specific regions.
“Some exchange offices may adjust these buying/selling prices for the dollar and euro within plus/minus 3-5 kopecks due to their specific individual tasks and customer needs in each particular region,” the expert stated.
He emphasizes that due to uncertainty and the ongoing war in the country, exchange office owners have no grounds for significantly lowering the spread between buying and selling currencies. The specialist adds: “It simply makes no sense for financiers to do this, as the main ‘drivers’ for the market have not disappeared. Therefore, exchange office owners will set the spread for the dollar within 20-25 kopecks, and for the euro – within 20-40 kopecks. Wholesale currency exchange points will work with a spread for the dollar and euro within 15-20 kopecks.”
Thus, a stable and predictable dynamics of exchange rates is maintained in the Ukrainian currency market, and a significant change in the spread is unlikely in the near future.
