Euro Exchange Rate: Current Dynamics
The forecast for the euro exchange rate also indicates a maintained corridor. The purchase of euros will be conducted at a price ranging from 46.30 to 46.60 UAH, while the sale will occur within the range of 46.70 to 46.95 UAH per euro. These estimates were provided by analysts, noting moderate fluctuations and the absence of sharp changes in the currency market.
Impact of External Factors and the Role of the National Bank
Experts emphasize that the war has significantly affected the volumes of Ukraine’s currency market. The small size of the domestic market does not allow the country to play a leading role in shaping global currency trends. Ukraine remains a hostage to the situation regarding the dollar and euro exchange rates.
“The continuation of the war against the backdrop of a very small domestic currency market does not make Ukraine a leading player in the currency games of the largest economies in the world, but rather keeps it in a position of being a hostage to the situation regarding the dollar and euro exchange rates against the hryvnia.”
At the same time, analysts note that the restrictions imposed by the National Bank of Ukraine allow for effective control of the situation in the interbank market. Thanks to the currency interventions, the NBU has managed to maintain control over the dollar quotations and reduce the impact of external economic shocks, which positively reflects on the stability of the hryvnia.
