Electric Cars Became the Best-Selling New Vehicles in Ukraine in September 2025
In September 2025, fully electric models achieved leadership for the first time in the Ukrainian market for new passenger cars. The share of electric vehicle sales reached one-third, indicating a significant shift in preferences among buyers. In comparison, this figure was only 15.3% in September of last year.

Change in the Structure of the New Car Market
Sales of cars with traditional internal combustion engines have noticeably decreased—their share fell from 63% in 2024 to 47% in 2025, corresponding to a reduction of 16%. In second place in popularity are gasoline cars, chosen by 31.2% of buyers, while last year this figure was 36.8%.
Hybrid cars took third place with a share of 20.3% (last year it was 21.5%). Diesel models continued to lose ground: their share decreased from 26% to 15.3% over the year. Sales of vehicles with gas cylinder equipment remained at a minimal level—less than 1%, with no significant changes compared to the same period last year.
