Enemy drones attacked railway rolling stock in three regions of Ukraine

In three regions of Ukraine, further attacks by enemy drones on railway infrastructure have been recorded. These strikes are aimed at destabilizing the economic situation in the country by damaging rolling stock and railway facilities.

Attack in Poltava region: a wagon was damaged and a fire broke out

In the territory of Poltava region, an enemy UAV hit between the tracks near a locomotive. As a result of the explosion, one of the wagons was damaged, and a fire occurred. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties. Thanks to the prompt work of the monitoring center, the conductor and the locomotive crew timely moved to a mobile shelter and avoided injury.

“The monitoring center was activated, which allowed the conductor to timely move to a mobile shelter. The locomotive crew was also secured. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties,” the message states.

Strikes in Dnipropetrovsk and other regions

Another drone attack was recorded at a railway station in Dnipropetrovsk region. Here, an electric locomotive that was on the track during the shelling was damaged. The train was stopped in advance due to the detection of drone danger, so railway workers were timely warned and were in a shelter. There are no casualties.

Overall, this series of attacks once again indicates the enemy’s deliberate attempts to paralyze the operation of the Ukrainian railway, but thanks to the coordinated actions of the staff, it was possible to avoid human casualties.
