Exchange Rates at PrivatBank on August 28: Dollar and Euro Decrease

On Thursday, August 28, 2025, PrivatBank is experiencing a decrease in the exchange rates of major foreign currencies. In particular, the exchange rate of the dollar to the hryvnia for cash transactions has decreased by 7 kopecks and currently stands at 41.50 hryvnias per dollar. The euro has dropped by 5 kopecks — its current rate is 48.55 hryvnias per euro.

Buying and Selling Currency at Branches

Bank clients can sell American currency for 40.90 hryvnias per dollar, and euros for 47.55 hryvnias per unit. Thus, there is a slight trend towards the strengthening of the hryvnia against major world currencies.

Rates for Card Transactions

Regarding cashless transactions, the exchange rate for dollar card operations at PrivatBank remains stable at 41.67 hryvnias. The euro exchange rate for card payments has also not changed and stands at 48.54 hryvnias.

The exchange rate for dollar card transactions at the bank is 41.67 UAH, and for euro – 48.54 UAH.

This dynamic of exchange rates indicates relative stability in the currency market within Ukraine’s banking sector at the end of August 2025.
